The first half of 2014 for data analysis of potash production

June 2014 production at 696,000 tons of potash, in May this year, more than the 85,000 tons, an increase of 23.91%, compared with an increase of 109,000 tons over the same period last year, an increase of 18.57%. 1-6 month cumulative production of 2.686 million tons of potash, in June last year before cumulative production of 2,868,400 tons, down 182,400 tons, down by 6.36%.

June 2014 imports of 558,900 tons of potassium chloride, a decrease of 39.81 percent, an increase of 52.95%; 1-6 months total imports of 3,866,870 tons, an increase of 6.41%. June 2014 imports of potassium 0.3518 million tons, an increase of 34.91 percent decrease, down 34.92%; 1-6 months total imports of 3.7393 million tons, down 37.99 percent.

June 2014 exports of 27,800 tons of potassium chloride, a decrease of 20.84%, down 7.89%; 1-6 in the total exports of 213,900 tons, an increase of 73.07%. June 2014 exports of 03,500 tons of potassium sulfate, 41.05% QoQ decrease, compared with the same month last year, a substantial increase (last June was only 20 tons); 1-6 in the total exports of 17,200 tons, representing an increase of 113 times.

From the data, the total output of the first half decreased slightly over the same period, the total imports of potassium chloride rose over the same period, although the decline in imports of potassium chloride, potassium chloride exports rose significantly, but few in number, so to say in the first half the total supply of essentially flat with last year. In the last year, the balance of inventory is large, the first half of the market for slightly larger than the demand, so the market prices in general. But the data reflect a substantial increase in export volume of potassium, although the export base is small, but with the expansion of our production capacity of potassium sulfate, potassium sulfate exports will be a trend.
